Review: Tackle

Tackle Tackle by Jacob Chance
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

"‘The heart wants what the heart wants’? There’s a reason why people quote that saying. It’s true. It doesn’t matter if you plan to avoid love. If it’s meant to be it will find you when you least expect it and make you its bitch.”

~~Before we get started with all the review excitement..

JACOB!! I NEED A CLANCY AND LEAH STORY! PLEASE TELL ME I AM GOING TO GET ONE!?!?! I love him already and BARELY know him!!!

description

~~ Now that that's out of the way...Moving on ~~

This series just keeps getting better! I have been excited about Trevor's story since 'Penalty' when we were first introduced to him and I knew his would be a good one. We got to see a little of his and Grace's interaction in that last book and I love the love/hate vibe they had going on and couldn't wait to dive in!
~ This one was definitely more angsty then the others so far. You had Trevor the ultimate playboy party boy Football hero and you have Grace, a women's league College football player, who is focused on her sport and her studies. I wouldn't categorize this as a Nerdy girl / Popular jock story because I don't think that really describes Grace. She was more just, emotionally closed off and not looking for any romantic entanglements of any kind.

~ To be perfectly honest, I didn't really connect with Grace all that much and that is the only reason I rated this a 4 instead of 4.5/5 stars. She was just kind of uppity and confusing. Sure Trevor has a playboy reputation and you can't blame a girl for wanting to steer clear of that, but Grace seemed to be so anti-Trevor it was kind of frustrating. Was even vehemently against being friends with him. It got to the point where she was almost mean, basically that she didn't associate with 'people like him'. I really didn't understand her whole 'Well, we are such different types of people that I think we should just have no contact beyond Hello, goodbye, and awkward hall wave'...

~ Trevor on the other hand long sigh and swoon - SOMEBODY FETCH ME A FAINTING COUCH PLEASE!!

description

I LOVED him.. He was such a sweet guy and he never gave up even when I kind of wanted him to because Grace was being such a bitch. He wasn't even that much of a manwhore or at least it wasn't exploited too much in the story. He was one of the most perfect book boyfriends! (the only thing was he was a little too word fancy for me to make it really believable, but I didn't mind too much)

There were definitely some aspects I though could be improved upon in the unfolding of their story, but overall I thought it was a fun, cute, swoon worthy read with just enough steam and an HEA :)

Review: Coach

Coach Coach by Jacob Chance
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I this is my favorite one of this series so far, followed by Penalty. (As much as I loved Nate's character, I really could not get into his story! It was just slow and quite frankly bored me).

This one though, this was one of my favorite tropes, so I am glad that I made it past #2 to get to #3. If I am honest I think part of what made Drive so hard for me to finish was that I saw the title "Coach" and was like
description

~~ Patience is not a quality I am known for...

~~Like.. at all...

So Yeah, It took me a hot minute to get through Drive, but I am glad I did because Coach had all the forbidden lusty tension one could hope for in a Coach Student TABOO romance. All that AND a super exciting plot twist!

Happiness all around with this one :)

Review: Penalty

Penalty Penalty by Jacob Chance
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

So, super honesty time, I read this book strictly because of that cover

description

Thankfully, it was also my favorite kind of story!

~This was a really cute college football romance that had all the same ingredients of many other stories of this trope; The college Jock manwhore who never commits, the girl who won't give him the time of day, she finally gives in and happiness ensues until drama happens creating an insurmountable rough patch, they kiss and make up, then finally we come to the happily ever after.

~ There are a lot of people who say that this is boring and repetitive being the same basic story every time, but I personally like it. You can get just as much enjoyment out of a story like this as you can out of a story with unexpected twists and turns and unpredictable plot lines. It all comes down to the author and how well they connect you to the characters and their struggles.

At first I was not sure how much I was going to like Brady. He seemed like a huge prick. And not in the way that you like, the Alpha-hole way, but like the kind of hero that still wants to fuck around even after they meet the heroine. BUT he ship-shaped up real fast!

The step-mom Cindy can go suck a fat one. Hate her.

Can't wait to read about the rest of the boys :)

I Bet YouI Bet You by Ilsa Madden-Mills
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

There really is fate. There really is emotion that transcends sorrow and sadness, those pains merely preparing you to accept the sweetness in life. Love.

I was relaly looking forward to Ryker's story after reading Maverick's and this didn't disappoint! Ryker is total book boyfriend material. Handsome, charming, talented, a little bit too much of a manwhore before meeting our heroine, but 3 outta 4 ain't bad right!? Despite his manwhore past he really was a super sweet and caring guy. You can tell he will do anything for those he loves.

I loved Penelope in this. She was strong and sassy and her and Ryker were just the perfect match. She had some issues of her own to work through with a Former NFL playing father who was absent while growing up but is now back with his new family in tow to make amends and a mother who passed away recently. She is a bit standoffish with Ryker at first due to her history, but you see their relationship develop in the best way.

This book was filled with sexual tension and I LOVED IT! Not even a ton of sexy scenes, but I like the tension part better than anything else as long as it is done well.

This was a fun story, similar to The Deal by Elle Kennedy, but with football instead of hockey, and that is one of my favorite books of all time!
You get a fun, steamy College romance with a sexy book boyfriend, no cheating, no OW drama, and an HEA. Can't go wrong!

Cards of Love: The PopeCards of Love: The Pope by L.P. Lovell
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

description

WOW! Whoever would have thought a priest of the Catholic Church could get you so hott...

Judas....

"I want to desecrate her body in every way because I can’t remember the last time I saw something so beautiful, so utterly pure, yet so devastatingly tainted."

"I want her broken and crumbling. I want her crawling on her knees for me, begging for salvation only I can give."

description

I have not read anything by L.P. Lovell before, but now I am thinking that I need to open up more of her books! This was easily the best book I have read in this series yet and one of my favorites this year. The writing was fantastic, I just wanted to keep highlighting everything I came across.

~ Pope is pretty TABOO in that it does have a "forbidden" relationship between a Catholic Priest and one of his flock, but there is a twist that makes that it even more exciting.

NOTE: Definitely DON'T read this if you are at all sensitive to triggers relating religion because it is definitely got some holy desecration...

~ Delilah is a young girl in college with a mom who is basically out of the picture and a father who is distant and overbearing. She has always been a "good girl", basically doing what her father tells her and going for the major he wants for her even if it does not make her happy. We come into the story when she is having a semi breakthrough and decides to tall her father to keep his tuition money and she is gonna do what she wants. She has always been attracted to the "bad boy" type and finds this in Nate. He is a sinfully hot young drug dealer for a local mafia group. She begins working with him during their relationship for the 'high of the thrill' and soon tragedy strikes. Delilah is so overcome with guilt she is just a shell of a person following the incident and finds her way to the local Catholic church, where she meets Judas.

~ Judas
... He is the "beautiful" local priest who has more secrets than Hail Marys. I don't want to say too much about him because I don't want to give away too much of the story. He first meets Delilah when she had passed out drunk in one of the pews. He is instantly drawn to her, seeing the sadness and utter devastation held in her gaze. They form a connection through Confession before she knows it Judas has become the most important person in her life. But, will his secrets destroy this new found bond? Will the truth of her greatest sin tear them apart?

"She thinks I can save her, but little does she know that she asks the devil for salvation."

What a great story with unique twists and turns, suspense, intrigue and HEAT!!

I can't wait to read Saint!! HURRY HURRY!!

I Dare You (The Hook Up, #1)I Dare You by Ilsa Madden-Mills
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Sexy college football hero falls for beautiful Star wars nerd...

~ Sometimes you just need a little fluff ~

description

description

The fact that I had this just sitting in my kindle library for so freaking long!

This is one of my favorite tropes because... I mean c'mon... who doesn't love an uber talented sports playing, muscled up, tanned and glistening God Man with a romantic sweetness that rots your teeth out... YOU CAN'T FIND THAT PERSON!

But anyhoo! Ilsa Madden-Mills really hit this one out of the park as far as college romances are concerned. This story is the perfect blend of delicious sweetness, steamy encounters, quirky humor, and full of so many feels!

~ Maverick
is SO MUCH a Book Boyfriend by my standards! He is beautiful, talented, cocky, arrogant; all the guys want to be him and all the girls want to be on him, but he is not a walking case of the Herp because he is selective. Being the best linebacker at the school and, it is said, the best stats in the country, he is being seriously looked at by the NFL. Yes he is full of himself, but you quickly find that he has demons and a past that haunts him and presents obstacles daily that have you feeling for him the whole time. He has had his eye on Delaney for quite some time when he met her at the first Bonfire of their freshman year.

~ Delaney was really a great heroine. Strong and smart and quirky. She had some fun inner dialogue that had me chuckling at several places. After meeting Maverick at the bonfire, we jump ahead to Valentines day, 2 years and find Delaney sulking after her boyfriend of a year and a half or so, Alex, Cheated on her. She gets a text from a random number and strikes up a textlationship with a guy she dubs He-Man. She also starts to see a lot more of Maverick in class and around campus. Delaney's ex is a kicker on the football team which introduces 2 problems to her little crush on Mav.
1) Football players at this school are very serious about their "bros before hoes" motto
2) She doesn't trust any man who touches a football

~ PAUSE HERE!!!

~ So this is where I had a little issue with this book. Delaney states on several occasions 'oh, football players are total players' 'They are all just going to cheat on you'
'Dont trust a man with a football' ....
FIRST - Its NOT just football players who are like this. It can be ANY man who is a prick and can't control his... well... Prick

SECOND - Her cheating ex should have been a reason to stay away from ALL men or AT LEAST all ATHLETES. It came across as kind of silly.

All in all - NO cheating with MC's - NO OW/OM intimacy - NO Separation - HEA Guaranteed :)

Cherish (Cherish #3)Cherish by Olivia Ryann
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

5.5 CAPTIVATING STARS!!

I think I have found myself a new favorite list author! I loved this series! And this final book in the story of Arsen and Fiore was the perfect conclusion to their wild ride. Although I could stand to read more about their happy ever after :)

"I want her love. I want her company. I want all her time; with her smiles, and her tears. I want to always look over and find her right there, right by my side."

READING ORDER
#1 CAPTURE 0.5 Prequel - (should read, its free and only 44 pages)
#2 CONTROL
#3 COVET
#4 CHERISH

Cherish starts up right where we left off in Covet, and I have to say, THANK GOD all these books were out when I started reading because GOOD LORD MRS. RYANN Do you know how to right a damn cliffhanger!!

In this book we get to see a lot more closeness between Arsen and Fiore, We get to learn a little more about the brothers and some twists and turns to keep it interesting. There is passion and mystery and being a dark Mafia book obviously a little bloody violence. I love how Olivia can take an idea I have read through many different books (Mafia princess being kidnapped then falling in love with her captor) and make it unique. You spend a lot of time through this series anxiously awaiting the next move.
It is so interesting to me how, when reading this genre, the unforgivable actions taken by some characters, becomes forgivable. Arsen does things throughout this series that are just deplorable, but Fiore just forgives him even though he never really apologizes at all for what he has put her through. Not to mention, Damen and what he did in the earlier part of the series. But, here is am, loving the happy ending and salivating for a Damon book!

The book ends with a final chapter from Dryas's POV and now I can't wait to read his story! Looking forward to it Mrs. Ryann!!!

I am upgrading this part in the series to 5 STARS!

READING ORDER
#1 CAPTURE 0.5 Prequel - (should read, its free and only 44 pages)
#2 CONTROL
#3 COVET
#4 CHERISH

Really great part 3 to this exciting story!

We start off where Control left off with Fiore's shot going off and not knowing who the gun was pointed at. Obviously we know that Arsen lives because then the books would be over, but I won't spoil anymore that that! Fiore learns more about what happened to her family, we get a little more background on her childhood as well as Arsen's. Learn a bit more about the inner-workings of his mind and why he is the way he is. We see the bond growing more by the day with the puppy, the house in New Orleans, the tarot card mystery. Arsen is starting to second guess himself and his plans he had laid out for Fiore, which we all saw coming from a mile away, but it is interesting how it is unfolding. A lot of this story is very unique even though the idea of a kidnapped mafia princess has been done. It really makes for an enjoyable read!

Just to keep all prospective readers informed there is (view spoiler) I wasn't a fan, just because I like it when (view spoiler) but it didn't ruin the story for me at all.

SPOILERS AHEAD -
Quick note about Damon, I wonder if anyone is is as confused about his character as I seem to be???
So first, we meet him, he is a total disgusting animal, basically shoving her to the floor, violating and trying to rape her. Then, next time we see him in the present in the story he is talking about how this girl, Fiore, is meant to be with Arsen and a bunch of lovey dovey crap...
"She's the one brother, the sooner you come to terms with it, the better it will
be for both of you."

description

Not that I don't appreciate the encouragement in the right direction for your Bro there, just seems like a hard core assassin and rapey prick wouldn't give rom-com love advice.

Looking forward to seeing how this all plays out!</["br"]></["br"]></["br"]></["br"]></["br"]></["br"]></["br"]></["br"]></["br"]></["br"]></["br"]></["br"]></["br"]></["br"]></["br"]></["br"]></["br"]></["br"]></["br"]></["br"]></["br"]></["br"]></["br"]></["br"]></["br"]>

Control (Cherish #1)Control by Olivia Ryann
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

4.5 Kidnapped Stars!!

"You belong to me now, Fiore. I own you. I can do whatever I want to you, whenever I want it."

This genre is right up my alley, LOVE IT, Can't get enough stories like this! I am new to Olivia Ryann, but if she has more stuff like this, then stop the train cuz I am buyin a ticket for first class!

Loved the plot, loved the writing, loved the characters and can't wait to see where this goes. And Holy Cliffhanger Batman!! I had to literally scold myself to calm down and write the review BEFORE jumping into the next book!

description

description

So, As you can tell, I'm excited. However, I will try to calm my tits long enough to get a good review out, even though I am dying to settle that cliffhanger ending right now.

Control ends where we left off in the Prequel Capture. We have little Katherine running from the big bad "cops" learning that her family has sold her into sex slavery. She is ultimately captured for the second time and taken to a holding facility, then to an auction. This is where she is bought by
Arsen. Tall, Dark, and handsome with steal grey eyes and a rich Greek accent, He sounds like a dream boat! Unfortunately ladies, he runs a thriving crime organization, enjoys slaughtering his enemies or anyone who gets in his way, and apparently kidnapping, torturing, and killing young girls for revenge. He is pretty much an all around bad guy, according to his own inner dialogue.

Arsen takes his merchandise to his compound in Columbia. The story follows both characters as he adjusts to Fiore/Katherine being his new captive and she adjust to Arsen/Monster being her new captor and her mansion prison. There is quite a bit of steam mixed with a purposeful lack of emotional attachment.
It will be fun to watch these characters grow closer in the coming books in the series.

So Why not 5 stars given all these things I have excitedly recited??
Arsen
Don't get me wrong, I love a semi sadistic, dominant, possessive Alpha male who does't give a crap about the heroine, but changes because they are soulmates. HOWEVER, I feel like his character is a little inconsistent.
He portrays himself through his inner dialogue and different actions as being a real sadistic bastard.
"I'm going to enjoy slowly breaking her bones and swiftly crushing her spirit. Let her know that no one is coming to save her. When she weeps for her father and brothers, I will whip her for ever caring that they existed."

"After I have stripped her of her will to live, she will beg me for the release that death brings."

"I'll kill her. Turn my protective embrace into a slow strangulation. Yes, it's fucked up, but that's the thought that makes my cock hard."

He says things like this a lot during his inner dialogue, but then when he deals with Fiore/Katherine he ends up being pretty damn gentle. Never forces her or hurts her necessarily. The worst thing he does is "the Box" and he is emotionally a jerk face! Not that I want him to be crazy and 'rapey' and hurt her AT ALL . I just think it is a little conflicting for the character.

All in all, LOVED it and on to the next!!

Preach. (Church, #2)Preach. by Stylo Fantome
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

6 Royally F**KED UP Stars!!

description

I'm so sad its over, I want more!!

"If you weren't broken anymore, then I wouldn't be able to love you the way I do."

I know everyone says this, but PLEASE LISTEN!! This is NOT a story that you want to read spoilers on! I promise, It ends good and the ride is totally worth it! If you read spoilers, it really will kill it for you! JUST SAY NO!

This duet was simply the most unique and craziest story I have read in a long time. I was on the edge on my set the entire time saying to myself, "What the HELL is going on!!"
And I freaking LOVED IT!! I am not sure I can say that enough lol

"I have more faith in you than you do, yourself. How could I not? You're the other half of my soul."

description

I love stories with questionable "anti-heros" and dark material and obsessive dark romance. This story just took all that to an entirely new level.

"Commissioned for me, made for me. You've always been mine, even before we met."

!!!!!!!SPOILERS AHEAD!!!!!!!!

In this second part of our Church and Emma journey we delved a bit more into Churches thoughts with his POV being presented more than in "Church." We start where book 1 left off with Emma Being at the recovery facility, Sunshine Ranch Institution after her incident (view spoiler) and we hear from Church's POV, but have no idea where he is. Emma is angry at Church for basically abandoning her because she has not heard from him in 6 weeks. She is now under her mother's "guardianship" and doing her best to fake "Normal" so she can get out from under Margo's thumb.

It is so interesting, in this story, it seems like everyone Emma comes across in her life are just Cluster F**ks of people. You're not sure if it is because of her station in life or the type of person she is that she seems to attract the human garbage heaps all around her, but she does wonder that herself a few times during book. The therapists, who you would think would be the only good people in the story are two of the crappiest given their actions. (view spoiler)

The story progresses and we see the lovers reunited, we learn more about Jerry (who was quickly becoming one of the most interesting characters), some new characters are introduced, and all around mayhem ensues.

This is why this was such a home run for me...

These characters are not good people, don't claim to be either. In fact they are quite honestly two of the most unquestionably morally bankrupt MC's I have ever read about. They did not get "better", or become better citizens, or have any great epiphanies on how they have overcome some personal trauma/obstacle and now they look at the world in a new light... In fact, I more thought the journey of the story was Emma letting go of her strangle hold on "normalcy" and learning to embrace her "Dark" side; to accept who she was really meant to be, a "monster". Much of the book is her personal journey of acceptance of that fact. Weather she was "made" that way by her mother's parenting skills (or lack there of) or simply born that way didn't matter. Just that she was and that's that.

As the reader you were somehow ok with how absolutely f**ked up these two MC's were because all the other characters were worse (view spoiler).

But, I FREAKING LOVED IT You are so happy in the end because they got away with everything and ride off into the sunset! Sign of a great author! To make you not only understand why the character does what they do, and cause the reader to commiserate with them, but to also be 100% on board when they are doing horrible awful things. Simply outstanding...

HOLY CRAP ON A CRACKER...
I am not even sure how to feel or think or be after this book...
I... I... I think I need a minute...

description

description

"Don't forget me," Emma whispered. "How could I forget my other half?" he whispered back"

WOW, wow, wow... I freaking LOVED this book! It was so dark and twisted and messed up and just AMAZING!

I was a little hesitant at first because UNPOPULAR OPINION ALERT! I was not a fan of her Degradation series. Sorry, it just wasn't for me. All the "open relationship" BS... just... no....

So needless to say I was a little skittish coming into this thinking there might be some similar triggers for me, but seeing all the great reviews I just had to do it. DAMN, Am I glad I did!!
This is one of those books that gives you that anxious, excited feeling in your stomach the whole time you're reading it. Then when someone interrupts you you're like

description

description

I think I owe my 3 year old an apology...

Anyway! This book is freaking amazing.
Emma is a severely troubled young woman, who has become that way due to years (a lifetime really) of abuse and neglect and just shitty family and peers. She has had a rough go of it and it has created some deep seated psychological issues. The story begins with her living with her mother and new step-father and starting a new school. This takes place in a very small town so everyone at the school knows everyone else, as happens with all small towns. She introduces herself to us with inner dialogue that slowly shows you how broken down she is as a person.
Later that night after coming home late from a party she runs into her new step-brother at home, who she has yet to meet. Church doesn't speak. Not to anyone, but for some reason he speaks to her, albeit, very limited, but he does.
Something about church calls to Emma, and so begins her obsession and their very unhealthy relationship. I loved the way the writer was able to make you relate with Emma so well even though you know she is FAR "crazier", as she says, then the average bird. Throughout the whole story you can see the instability building, but she as the character knows its happening and acknowledges her it's ridiculousness so you can relate to her so well. You feel for her and can understand all her decisions.
"She wasn't stupid. What she felt for Church was moving so far beyond obsession, they hadn't even invented a name for it yet. Emotional cannibalism? She wanted to be inside his thoughts. His touches. His every waking moment."

To make the average reader relate to a character who is so far off the "normal" spectrum. It really is incredible writing and character development.

Church is most definitely my favorite type of "anti-hero" to read about. He is so mysterious through this whole thing even though there are parts of the story told from his POV. He is drawn to Emma, but really only wants to use her as a "tool" toward his end goal. Along the way he builds a deeper connection with her.

"For the first time ever, I'm scared. Scared of the thoughts I'm having, scared of the way she makes me feel. Like maybe she's not just someone else to play with. Maybe she's more. Maybe she was meant for me."

These characters were just beyond f**ked up, but somehow you root for them anyway and they just felt... epic

"Maybe we were meant to be great together."

"You don't know how to love," she croaked out. "But you're such a clever girl," he chuckled. "You taught me how, and I didn't even realize it."

There are twists and turns you don't see coming and suspense and emotion. And even though this book does have multiple sex scenes it doesn't feel smutty or overly graphic in the least. It's just perfect...

I think I waited all of 1 min to read the next in the duet and that is because I had to search and download it to my kindle...

Review: Her Best Friend's Dad

Her Best Friend's Dad Her Best Friend's Dad by Penny Wylder
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I am kind of on some sort of novella kick right now so here is another one...

This was a really great novella! I started it mostly for the TABOO nature because I am finding that I am very into that genre at the moment

**who doesn't love a HOT older man who knows how to get shit done??? You can't find that person!**

description

but this one pleasantly surprised me.

With novellas I always expect the story to lack in several areas simply due to the lack of pages. However, this one had great character development, even given the length of the book I was able to connect and root for the MC's. I liked how it wasn't even insta-lust either. The characters had known and been into each other for many years and we are just coming into the story for the good parts 'wink-wink'

Very sexy, cute, some humor, and some characters to unleash your hate on, I thought this was one of the better novellas I have read recently!

Badd Motherf*cker (Badd Brothers, #1)Badd Motherf*cker by Jasinda Wilder
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

4.5 Badd Satrs!! (in this case Badd means Fantastic!)

"My first thought the moment I laid eyes on you, was that you were an angel. You took my breath away then, and you've taken it away every single damn day since."

What was not to like about this book! 'Badd'ass heroine, reclusive bartender Hero shredded with muscles that call out to any tongue in a 50 mile radius, 7 (Yes! You heard right- SEVEN!) Equally delectable brothers to read about in subsequent books, great and witty writing, interesting plot points, and Holy Mother of Sexual Encounters! (this books is ...naughty...)

description

We start out with the wedding of our heroine who ends up heartbroken and running away because (view spoiler)
Dru (heroine) Ends up in an Alaskan dive bar where she meets Sebastian for the first time. They have an instantaneous physical attraction which Dru is intent on ignoring at first due to the obvious - Just ran out on my wedding yesterday even if it was because he was a TOTAL Douche Nozzel - heartbreak that was going on. It is really fun to see how their connection plays out and watch them grow closer through the story. Through the story the 7 brothers are returning home from their various life travels and it is hilarious to watch how all the brother interact.

There is this scene where Michael comes to the bar and I am like "Hell Yeah! He is coming back to try to win her back and she is about to say "Dude, Go and shove that apology right where your morals have been hiding cuz DONT NOBODY CARE ABOUT YOUR STUPID ASS ANYMORE!! 'Excuse my outburst of emotion'
And I am sorry, but I have to do this...
ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME MICHAEL!!!!!! I am glad this guy is fictional because if he was with me or any one of my peeps, he would be in serious danger of being slowly and painfully dismembered and thrown in the ocean with the sharks. That guy was an actual psycho. (I realize the irony of me calling him psycho after I just talked so casually of dismemberment, but READ IT and you will totally get me.

I loved the ending of this was sweet and just perfect for this story :) I loved that the epilogue is in Zane's POV and leads us into the next book. Cute and fun read that was perfect for my Vacation with a little light reading :)

This story was pretty funny and had no major angst in it which I loved for the moment. Calder was a great Hero! He was a realistic kind of alpha type. You know usually in books you have the Alpha who is like almost 'real life' scary? The 'Did you just look at my woman? I am gonna bash your face in now' type. Calder is the kind of Alpha who I would not be afraid to go to dinner with lol. (Don't get me wrong, I LOVE me a good scary jealous Alpha...in Books... and on fictional pages :P )
Rori was a fun character too. A little spitfire who wasn't about to let this womanizing jock take advantage of her. At some points in the book she got to be a little TOO much with the resisting to the point where I was like "well that's just mean for no real reason Rori", but she got over it and we were all happy in the end!
