Dark Needs at Night's Edge (Immortals After Dark, #5)Dark Needs at Night's Edge by Kresley Cole
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

GREAT, Great Story!! I was aching for a Red-Eyed Vampire turning back to the "good" side for his Bride and HELL YES! I GOT ONE!!

“Would you follow me anywhere?”
“Into the sun.”

GOD Conrad!! We didn't hear really anything about him in the previous books other than the fact that we knew he was a Wroth brother and has been MIA since the "turning". Never thought of the fact that there might be a "noble" Red-Eyed Vamp, but Conrad would fit that bill... (mostly). He has spent the last 300 years of his immortality killing and drinking to death bad/evil creatures of the Lore. He knows his end is coming with so many enemies after him and is prepared for that once he is able to get revenge on his brothers for turning him into what he is now.

Neomi was a celebrated and famous ballerina in 1927 who is currently a ghost stuck in her abandoned New Orleans manor, cursed to relive her tragic murder one night every month. It's been a long and lonely 80 years since her murder at the hands of her crazy ex-fiance. Until the night a group of three large men drag an uncooperative fourth man into her home and chain him up as a captive. She learns that the Wroth brothers are Vampires and are trying to 'Detox' their brother Conrad from his 'Bloodlust" acquired by his drinking to death his mercenary targets for the last 300 Years.

After their first few encounters, we find that Conrad is the only being who has been able to see Neomi out of all the people who have come through her home during her life as a ghost. With him being trapped there for the time it takes to clear his mind and her being trapped there for eternity, they start to develop a bond. We see that there seems to be a stronger force that wants to tie these two together, but how will it ever work for an incorporeal ghostly ballerina and a half-mad Red-eyed Vampire...

Wicked Deeds on a Winter's Night (Immortals After Dark, #4)Wicked Deeds on a Winter's Night by Kresley Cole
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

“After this night, you’ll arch tae my touch and crave my kiss. When the heat is upon you, every inch of your body will recognize mine as its master.”

Hands down, my favorite book in this series so far!

description

What a FREAKING GREAT BOOK!!!! Cole just really killed this one.. in the best possible way!

I was SOOO stoked to get to Bowen's book because he was just so broken and miserable after what he has been through. After peripherally watching him compete in the Talisman's Hie through Kaderin's story, I could not wait to read about him and Mariketa.

Bowen MacReive was one of my favorite hero's. He wasn't perfect and that was what made him so great. He was damaged from a past trama that would criple almost anyone, he carried on with really one purpose in life (to find a way to bring back his dead Mate), and allowed himself to basically waste away around that one goal. He has survived 180 with that sole purpose with misery and guilt being his only companions.
Mariketa the Awaited was not my favorite heroine, but I didn't dislike her at all. I thought she was a very good match for Bowe. They had this really great chemistry and such an entertaining Love -Hate dynamic through most of the story. She is extremely young in comparison to most creatures of the Lore, not even having reached her immortality phase yet, and she definitely seems it. She is thought to be the most powerful which born in many years but has yet to learn how to control and make use of her awesome powers.
The majority of the story takes place in the jungle following the conclusion of the Talisman's Hie as Bowe is given the task of seeing that Mariketa makes it back to her home in Louisiana in one piece. Along the way, the two undergo challenges due to the rugged terrain, secondary character interactions, and their own love/hate relationship, but they also grow closer and learn much about the other. Will Bowe be able to overcome his past to accept a new possible Mate? Will Mariketa be able to forgive Bowe's transgressions from the competition enough to give him a chance at her heart?
You MUST Read!! Seriously, Fantastic read!!

The Warlord Wants Forever (Immortals After Dark)The Warlord Wants Forever by Kresley Cole
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Very, VERY late to the party on this one...
I can't believe I have waited so long to read this series!!! Seriously WTF!! AND to make it worse, I ALREADY OWN ALL THE BOOKS! They were just sitting there in my kindle... Waiting for me to be like "Where oh where can I get another great Paranormal Romance series to love?!?"

BOOM!! Found it!!

What a great start to this series! The world Cole is creating is so much fun and leaves so much room for more discovery. This novella feels like an introduction to a new world with the feeling that you have to keep going to get to more characters, more stories, more steam, and more Lore!

I loved the heroine, Myst, - She was such a badass! So witty and sharp-tongued - She makes for an excellent MC. You see throughout the book that she is not only brave and strong, but also deceptively kind-hearted.

Nikolai Wroth EASILY one of my favorite Paranormal book boyfriends. He is tall, dark, gorgeous, and vicious - Soft and squishy heart under all that he-man warrior muscle - Loving and protective... CAN'T GET ANY BETTER!!!
I loved his persistence (not like he really had a choice since she "blooded" him) He gave Myst SO many chances within their relationship when she just kept kicking him down. He wasn't taking no for an answer (but in a good way, not like a 'rapey' way).

Great Novella! Can't wait to dive into the rest of the series!!

Venom & Ecstasy (Venom, #2)Venom & Ecstasy by S. Williams
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

OMG...

(view spoiler)

Venom & Ecstasy

I am so freaking bummed out right now!!

WTF with the cliffhanger!! I could NOT put this book down! Not kidding, I finished it last night at 12:30 am and immediately had to start book 3.
Then I read for sensible 30 more minutes and went to sleep because I had work in the morning and wanted to be refreshed and ready to go...

Yeah.. ok fine! ... so maybe that's a lie...

I for sure stayed up until 4 am and then woke up 20 minutes late with drool on my Kindle and ended up putting my shirt on backward...

BUT IT WAS WORTH IT!!

I absolutely LOVE Gianna! She is a total badass and I totally envy her ability to just not give one single fuck!
The whole Reynoldo (aka Harry) thing really tripped me out and made me so sad, but totally needed to progress the story in the right direction.
Love Love Love Draco! The sadistic bastard with a surprising sweet side!

Venom & Ecstasy has just an amazing story line and characters who you connect with even though the situations they are involved in are so very far from anything I would ever experience. So many twists and turns, you are surprised and intrigued at every page turn. Fantastic!

A+ to this continuation of the story!
