Review: Convict Me

I have been SOOOOOOO SLOW reading this last week. I am trying to dip my toe into writing some of my own stuff so we shall see how that goes lol.

This was a decent story. I mostly liked it because it was a fun start to a series. I am really interested to see where it goes. A few issues I had were; The connection between the MC's felt a bit Insta-love/lust and the hero was extremely hot and cold. I understand what the author was going for by Hero ditching Elyse after she saw him as his 'worst self' and I got it, but it just felt a little too whiplashy. Maybe, if there had been a little more angst from him during their separation, it would have felt more natural to me.
I also thought the final conflict between Hero and (view spoiler)[ His dad (hide spoiler)] was WAY WAY to quick! I mean (view spoiler)[ the who scenario was like 3 pages - and that's supposed to be the big, die hard conflict of the story? (hide spoiler)] It was just... anti - climactic.



Overall though I did enjoy the story and I am looking forward to Daimon's book :)
